Candace Parker named president of women’s basketball at Adidas

Candace Parker is now President of Women's Basketball at Adidas, overseeing products and player relations.

Candace Parker, the three-time WNBA champion who retired in April, has joined Adidas as president of women's basketball. She will help develop a platform that promotes and advances women in sports while overseeing women's basketball products. Parker emphasized the importance of representation, innovation, and accessibility in her role. She will collaborate with Adidas' roster of prominent women players, including Aliyah Boston, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike. Adidas executives believe Parker's experience and passion make her the ideal candidate to drive growth and enhance the brand's reputation in women's basketball. Parker's 16-season WNBA career included 13 seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks, where she achieved early success as the Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season. She won two more MVPs and three WNBA championships, including one with her hometown team, the Chicago Sky.
